@ugolord: Replying to @environmentalyst Trooper Spits on Auditor’s Face, But Guess Who Gets Arrested? Was The Auditor’s Arrest Justifiable? Here is Part 1 | Attorney #UgoLord reacts! #lawyer This video is from @Long Island Audit Sean Reyes showing how he was arrested after knocking on state trooper Bryan Fahey’s door to ask him questions as an independent journalist. The interaction shows what happened next which led to the auditor’s ultimate arrest. I’ll be responding to this video in two parts. The first part asks, whether or not his arrest was justifiable. I’ll post the second part tomorrow asking whether or not spitting on someone’s face is a crime in Connecticut. #TikTokPartner #TikTokLearningCampaign #stitch with @wfsbnews
I can’t believe I’m actually siding with Sean the auditor on this one 😂

Regardless, the auditor should not have walked up to the sergeant house like he did. He had no right to go and ask the sergeant about any damn thing concerning something that involved him. The sergeant was right to defend his home... the only thing that he shouldn't have done was go past his property line.

What if the trooper was “afraid for his life “?

I’m so glad to see you posting this and taking interest in the video. Too many times they get in power trips. He retreated to his house so no danger till he came back out.

The fact that we have people enforcing the law but dont need to take extensive law classes is crazy

The police investigated themselves and found nothing wrong.

There was a piece of context missing. Sean was already suing that trooper in court for incidents that happened before this. That makes Sean’s presence on the defendants property very disorderly. It’s also potentially contempt of court for Sean in his civil case.

I'm in CT and this is awful for us and the state police. It's a bad look thinking they can do whatever they want. Especially the aggression. To top it off the Sargeant is getting like 80k in overtime pay for a desk job. Needs to be fired for this.

Sean never should have gone to the sgt home bc there was a prior incident. He clearly went there to harass the sgt at his home. Sgt was protecting. Himself and his property from a stalker.

but he auditor didn't start leaving immediately he took his time walking slowly and backwards with the mic still interacting with the owner doesn't that proves he didn't wanted to leave and try to convince the owner to maintain an interaction? if he walked normally he would have leave and not allowed the owner to reach him did you took that part in consideration? serious question

i agree that the officer was in the wrong and while sure i takes time to leave are you not expected to do it in a reasonable manner? if i’m asked to leave is it legally justifiable to inch my way off of the property?

The auditor is in litigation with the officer in another case (Reyes vs Lavoie et al) and in May a protective order was granted against the auditor in that case (This happened in July). Wouldn’t that have prohibited the auditor from going to the troopers home? 🤔

The Sargent said it was posted no trespassing.

You said if he didn’t have a trespassing sign posted. The officer said he had a trespassing sign posted doesn’t that change the outcome

it's crazy how "police" are supposed to de-escalate the situation, but they never do.

I heard there was already civil litigation against the sgt from the trespasser. I do believe this changes things

while true you can't teleport off. there is turning arround and walking off at a reasonable pace and moving as slow as possible to maximize the amount of time you're there while technically leaving

You could say walking backwards and slowly despite being told to leave was causing needless delay

Groton PD Chief L.J. Fusaro - is a former Major with the CT State police. That is why Sean was arrested and Fahey was free to go. So much corruption! Also Sean’s bail was raised to $75k for this. If I lived in Groton, I would be extremely afraid of the police department. They are extremely corrupt.
