You’re nuts, bro. The Last of Us Part II had one of the most complex and nuanced stories in any video game, with some of the most compelling characters in the medium. You’re just bitter that Joel died, which is wild cuz he most certainly deserved it, considering how he killed her DAD. Abby was, if anything, the most morally positive character in the game, and Ellie became so driven by a desire for revenge that she became a monster far greater than Joel and Abby were ever perceived as. A magnificent game from a masterful studio, and it’s crazy how there are still people trying to downplay that fact.

this game is amazing, yalls hate is so forced u guys are just blinded by nostalgia, and they not at all tried to make ellie seem like the villain the point of the game is that everyone are bad people and are just surviving.

the game is supposed to be two perspectives on the same story, two daughters losing their fathers and sacrificing everything for revenge, it was well written, i hate abby, but if we started as abby and jerry in part 1, we'd hate joel and ellie

Tbh it was not that bad I played it 10 times and its a good complex story with good writing and they have a new story mode that plays the game in order and make the story actually easy to understand

It surpasses Part 1 by far. Part 1 is good, but the story is very simple and derivative. Part 2 takes you through the ringer. It basically gave players an assignment: embrace your empathy and forgive Abby, or stay bitter. If you stayed bitter, you failed the assignment.

The writing was bad because they did something you didn’t expect and offed Joel in not a heroic way but in a horrific way 😭, let it go , it won game of the year for a reason , just because you don’t like the direction it took doesn’t equal that direction being ✨bad✨

When a character is so loved, no matter ho bad of a person they are, it’s called good writing. Joel deserved the way he went out and I stand on that. Did I like the scene though? fuh nah

I loved Part 2, and I don’t care about what people say, this game is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. The story was a bit off, yes, but I didn’t care, LOVED almost every second of this game. The combat is fun as hell, although I think the dodge mechanic is way too broken.

Not getting what you want from a story doesn’t mean it’s badly written. Also the people that were “roasting” the game based on leaks out of context were also sending death threats to everybody involved with Naughty Dog, and cast members.
