I was the opposite. I always tried to hide my past upbringing due to being raised by cops, either family or friends of the family. But every so often my tucked away knowledge would slip and would then have the training officer pry more info out of me.

Every freakin' security guard who calls the police to issue a treepass warning. Also had a recruit look me square in the eye & tell.me in a year he'd have my position in the specialty unit....(he was fired in less than 🤣)

Not police academy- but teaching at basic corrections course….during first aid and CPR this dude asked about fifteen times if now is the time to cut the victims clothes and or bra off. But picture it with this speech impediment. 😳😂 I turned to the other instructor and told him to never let this guy respond to an emergency involving me 😂
