I mean, I think it would’ve looked better if you would’ve sanded down everything and put a nice stain on it. Because the pattern would just look beautiful.

that's a beautiful piece of work, hope you sealed it. wood like that doesn't last long in the weather without lots of proper care. lasts longer when you have a barrier between the wood so there's no board on board - prevents early rotting.
