I’m so glad it helped! Hell yeah, brother! So some other things you can do once you get your muscles loosened up is to strengthen your lats, traps and rhomboids (lots of good YouTube videos that will show you exercises) as that will help to hold your shoulder girdle in place and provide resistance to those pecs from getting over tight. I’m so glad you’re starting this young. I have these same issues, so I’m rehabbing myself too.

Hey bro, honestly I feel like im in no place to give advice. You just gotta try shtt out and see what works for you. If it’s rubbing against your rib cage, I would look up diaphragm breathing drill. Remember to breath through your nose and out your mouth. You can perhaps look at my previous vids and try stuff out

Bingo. 10 years not able to sleep on my right shoulder. Went to a different RMT and they focused on my chest. 6 months of chest stretch’s (the one where you lean and fall through door) 9x a day for 30 seconds each and a couple RMT sessions. Boom. Gone

@cj: Hello! I have had this exact problem and have had coached many powerlifters with the same issue! The issue is potentially a combination of ur scapula being unable to correctly move and upwardly rotate along the ribcage and or the ribcage having too much compression on the backside of the ribcage leading to the scaps losing the ability to properly glide along the rib cage, a couple things have worked well in my experience and with my athletes, first try to release the pec minor and lat through stretches/soft tissue work, then once you’ve opened those areas up retrain the scapulas ability to upwardly rotate and glide along the ribcage, a great exercise for this is a single arm land mine press - with this exercise have the non-working arm protract as far as you can then also protract with the working arm the get the shoulder blades apart from eachother make sure as you do this you don’t lose height in your head -stay tall, and try to breathe out the air until you feel the side obliques engage- this gets your ribcage in proper alignment with your pelvis then proceed to slowly press the working arm up focusing on reaching high and thinking about allowing that scap to rotate upwardly as u press - Zac cupples on instagram and youtube has a demonstration of this! Hope this helps! If you need any further help with it feel free to dm me on IG in my bio!
