It happened with me in last school year (and I see the doctor a lot and a lot of days I physically can’t walk which the school KNOWS) they stopped allowing me to use doctors notes n shi so I had to drop out it sucks

my school tried getting rid of doctors excused notes last year but too many people complained and the parents yelled at them until they let it go. I remember getting my mom to call the school cuz if they did that then I would’ve taken all my finals due to missing too much. I had tons of doctors appointments 2 hours away and surgery so of course I missed school

Bro thats ridiculous. Im a kid with a weak immune system and i catch everything under the sun. If im sick, im sick get over it school. Dont want anyone getting sick? Maybe clean shi better, change the water refill station filters (the water has literally came out yellow on several occasions and the light saying “change filter” is always on red), make everyone wear masks, actually send sick kids home, and more. You cannot prevent sicknesses or even prevent any kind of hospitalization.

My schools have been doing this for years BUT there’s also a rule that you can’t have over 9 absences but but alsooo you can exempt exams depending on your grades and amount of absences, been avoiding the doctors even though I’ve been having horrible sinus headaches because I am NOOOT missing school

honestly I hate the whole doctors note in general cuz I was sick for like 2 weeks once with a cold and I COULDNT excuse my absence because it wasn't confirmed by a doctor LIKE MF NOT EVERYONES RICH to afford a doctor checkup for being SICK
