You might be thinking… “What’s the point of training my core when it’s still covered in belly fat?” Or: “How long am I supposed to keep doing this before I actually see a flatter belly?” And honestly? Those are valid questions. Because when your goal is a flatter stomach, it’s easy to look at a simple core exercise and think: “How is this even going to make a difference?” Here’s the thing: Training your core is not useless just because you currently have belly fat. Your core is still underneath. And it supports you every day when you breathe, move, lift your children, sit, stand and exercise. This is why I love simple core work like this. You’re not just doing random movements and hoping your belly disappears. You’re learning how to breathe, create tension, control your movement and actually connect with your core. And no—you don’t need to do this for hours. The real magic is consistency. Consider stacking a few reps onto something you already do. 🌅 After waking up. 🌙 Before going to bed. 🔁 After another habit you already do consistently. Then keep coming back. Will one exercise magically melt belly fat? No. But consistent core training has benefits that go far beyond aesthetics. And learning to breathe with your movement? That can support your workouts, posture, body awareness and even how you regulate and slow yourself down during stressful moments. Your breath is not just there to keep you alive. It can become a tool you use to reconnect with your body. So maybe the question isn’t: “How quickly will this flatten my belly?” Maybe start with: “Can I stay consistent long enough to feel what my body can learn?” And “Can I stack this movement unto right after I wake up for the next 7 days?”
