In Trinidad, where your husband's roots come from, it was a favourite on the Caribbean Island but we used Evaporated milk with Cream Soda and also Red soft drink/soda/pop. Try the red one too😋

Guyanese here- the cream soda we normally use is from the ICEE brand and can be found at any West Indian grocery- and evaporated milk if you don’t want use condensed milk- BUT IT SLAPS!!!!!

In Guyana my mom would mix the cream soda with evaporated Milk a splash of essence and some grated nutmeg . perfecto. try it with ten nis roll and cheese .
