It’s a natural part of ecology. When a species exceeds the carrying capacity of its environment, a population crash is inevitable. The difference between humans and other species is that we have international trade and technology. Practically speaking, there will probably be high taxes and more people will be pushed into poverty. Life expectancy will go down, etc.
