My hair looks very similar and i tried using like a small amount of product’s( jelly and mousse ) and it helped my hair last longer and i refresh it with water.

I have the SAME hair type, and I just give up sometimes. Let it dry naturally and then rope braids (+ you can sleep in them). As a result it looks wavy but without all the products, effort and tears. Some days its just like this :)
