I’ve found dating in my 30s to be significantly easier than my 20s and I’m a woman

I moved from nyc to Oklahoma and can confidently say that the pool of progressive men is incredibly small. Which seems to be what a lot of the commenters are looking for!

Not all good guys are taken - don't lower your standards just because you are getting older.

Sigh re the pushback that if you’re still single with high standards, why is it always assumed that we MUST budge on criteria we wouldn’t otherwise bc we’re ~STILL single~ as if that’s an indicator that we’re not all that/need to be humbled rather than 👌🏼an INTENTIONAL CHOICE👌🏼bc we’re fine being patient & waiting

You are so right. I only hear people on the internet talk about dating in NYC and LA. There is so much more to America!!

Luckily I don’t feel like I’m missing out at 34 simply b/c I’ve never met any man who even approached someone I’d want to marry. The good ones must have been paired off by the time I was 20.

This guy has no idea what he’s talking about with Oklahoma and Missouri. People there either choose to move to a bigger city to pursue their career and a different life, or they stay there and they settle for a relationship that they either started in college, or shortly there after. There’s not a lot else to do, so settling and starting a relationship is the norm . They usually settle down early. If you don’t fall into one of those categories where you’ve either found your person or you moved to pursued a new life, you’re what’s left… and let’s just say it’s not a lot of great options, for that reason. When you go to bigger cities, yes, you are in the Midst of a lot of men with bad intentions, but you’re also mixed in with those who are driven, moved away from their hometowns, didn’t want to settle, etc. etc. once you reach your 30s I would not pick what’s male

Depends on your priorities. If priority #1 is to be paired off, then ya sure go get whatever’s out there. “In a relationship no matter what” is not everyone’s priority

Super negative outlook on aging and dating - stay positive. Also, 30's aren't "old" lol

She’s telling the truth for 30yr+ women as opposed to what they want to hear. You’re competing against 22 year olds for those 30+ yr old men still available
