@veslej: Casa das Máquinas is a Brazilian rock band formed in São Paulo in 1973. The band originally emerged from some members of “Os Incríveis,” aiming for a heavier and more contemporary sound than the popular music of the time. They started out as “Os Novos Incríveis” but soon changed their name to Casa das Máquinas. They are known for blending hard rock, progressive rock, and psychedelic influences. Their first album, Casa das Máquinas (1974), had a hard rock style. Their second album, Lar de Maravilhas (1975), took on a more progressive rock approach and is considered one of the best progressive rock records in Brazil. The third album, Casa de Rock (1976), returned to a basic rock and hard rock sound. The band was highly influential in the Brazilian rock scene of the 1970s, alongside other important groups like Made in Brazil and Mutantes. They disbanded in 1978 but reunited for special performances starting in the early 2000s, with a more permanent return around 2007–2008, including new members alongside original ones.
