mortgage companies and banks need to allow you to Buy a piece of land and put a pre fabricated house on it cheeper then buying from a builder and not trailer park homes or amazon mine houseactual houses

a study should be made on what is making houses so expensive, once we have a good idea what are the main factors then we need to address those. there's something very weird with the house prices in Canada and I really don't know why it went from 100-300k to millions in few years.

solution is just take off the tax.. it's a domino effect, many people will buy and many people will be inspired to be creative if there is a lot of incentives.

prices going up on everything, food,materials ,electricity, gas,equipment, permits, property taxes then houses are not going down with the prices. Only people who were buying multiple houses on low mortgages or line of credit or simply overpriced townhouse and houses in towns or neighborhoods which should never be out of control in the first place. So many condos available for sale. If people were willing to buy 1mln for mediocre houses and townhouses going to bitting wars why half a million condo is to much?

I am saying it time and time again the only way we can get affordable houses that match the average salary of people is by lowering the land costs. land costs are 50% of your costs while building.

Building materials are at crazy high. We built a home in 2020 then sold and built another one in 2024. Materials were 3x the price
