i tell people when i first moved here it was actually a bit cheaper for me because i got rid of my car. no payment, no insurance, no car maintenance freed up a big chunk for me

Rent is expensive, but as long as you find an affordable apartment, all the rest is manageable!! We dont need cars, we dont need to maintain homes, we have access to so many highs and lows. Something for EVERY BUDGET. Thrift stores, fruit stands, free museums/concerts. Walking, bus and subway is cheap. Plus the quality of food is fabulous compared to other places, and you can go out for fine dining or some local hole in the wall, and still have an amazing experience. 💕
