Now after reading the comments I’m mad that I used flour tortillas instead of corn LOL google is the one that told me flour for flautas and corn for taquitos 🥴🥴🥴 I will do corn next time though bc I want to do whatever is the traditional way!! ♥️

I saw a lady make a flour paste as glue on her flautas and now I do that every time. The toothpicks annoy me when you have to flip them.

I know this is from days ago, but San Diego gal here to say that you’re right and the comments are wrong! 🤣 Flautas are flour and taquitos are corn, but lots of non-authentic places do it backwards.

I typically make my flautas with corn, but flour is good too! Also as a tip if you place the flautas seam side down first when frying, you won’t need to use toothpicks and they will stay together on their own. 😊
