This is something I think it’s hard for those from majority religions to understand. Converts are just as Jewish as born Jews. Ethnically and in faith, they’ve been adopted into a nation / peoplehood.

I am so glad to see this and have a dialogue! I think where I struggle with this is that from my understanding, the mother in the Jewish faith dictates the offsprings ties to the faith. Which wouldn’t that also translate to ethnicity and therefore create some who are not ethnically Jewish? Excited for your anwser

The word jew derives from the Hebrew word yehudi which means someone from Judah. And Judah is in Israel centred around Jerusalem , Bethlehem,Hebron etc. ethnos and religion .

Jews might be indigenous to the land, but they lost their “right” of return with the way they chose to return. It’s too bad the early Zionist were not able to lean into the socialist vision of an egalitarian shared state instead now they’re leaning hard into Jabotinsky’s vision of fascist, expansionist ethnostate. It will be really hard to undo the damage of what’s being done, and it’s hard to imagine a free Palestine being a safe place for the perpetrators of the current holocaust. but maybe it’s possible with massive reparations and more… honestly, what a disgrace, it could’ve been such a beautiful thing.

To add to this: this is why people with a Jewish father are as much part of the Jewish ethnic group as matrilineal Jews. Matrilineality as a criteria for inclusion in an ethnic group is nonsense.

So what are some solutions to the situation in G-za. * Well, clearly France or Spain or Turkey could send their w-rships and their hospital ships and their food carrying ships over to G-za and unload them. To feed the starving people. Now, that would mess up izzy plans of dispossion. So maybe they would send some very fast projectiles? Or maybe they would back down and let the food be distributed? * Of course that doesn't solve the long-term issue of un-destroying the Palestinian homes and buildings and infrastructure, so efficiently turned to dust with American munitions. * But it would get around the Izzy blockade of trucks loaded with food. And that's what is needed right now.
