ive heard so much about this since not only Sanders but the new administration. I came from rural Texas and came to school here in Fayetteville as a leap of faith. I've never liked rural living, but I've noticed the same patterns since I've left. its so devastating. I remember feeling so hopeless because there was no infrastructure or opportunity in my hometown. The people who are trapped in their situations or decide to not go to school, get trapped in these rural small towns because they can't leave. theres no money to get to leave. its a trap. I'm fortunate to have incredibly supportive parents, however I know thats not the case with everyone. We joke and sit around and say "no one ever leaves" but most of the time its because the can't or they leave and then come back, and they never get the opportunity to leave ever again. I hope america realizes one day that rural america matters too, I would love to see my hometown get better education, healthcare, and overall quality of life.

The leadership here is absolutely awful. A bunch of spoiled rich kids who have never done a day of actual work in their lives trying to make sure that continues for their families, and using our family's work to do it.
