As a person who is allergic to corn but I can somehow eat small amounts of tortilla chips but not actual corn or popcorn, I understand.

my younger sister is the same she is allergic to the cocoa in chocolate. so we had a trade going on growning up anytime she would get chocolate form friends, family & trick or treating i get the chocolate & I'll trade her something non-chocolate for it.

I feel you to a point. I’m intolerant to cocoa powder but am fine with cocoa butter. Can’t have chocolate cake or brownies but i can have white chocolate
