@ourwintonhome: “You look happier.” “Thanks my husband tore down my old fireplace to build my dream fireplace.” @kolterwinton This is one of my favorite home projects ever! I am so in love with how it turned out. I was so nervous when we started this project but I am so so happy with how it turned out! I feel like it really gave our living room a new look and really pulled the room together. The old fireplace was pretty but I wanted something with more of a custom look. I also wanted something with some earthy organic elements. So I went with an all stone fireplace! I knew I didn’t want all white but I didn’t want it too dark either . And then I found this stone and fell in love! It’s the perfect cream color! It adds a soft warmth to our living room. I also wanted a hearth with the new fireplace. Our old fireplace didn’t have one and I requested one with this one. 😍 and he built it perfectly. We also upgraded the firebox size. The old one was around l 18 inches and this new one is around 34 inches. the larger box really made a difference in the overall look of the fireplace.
