This is sooo true! New to this and still can’t believe the set up cost.. and then I had to spend a few month making nothing just breaking even because of product cost and not daring to charge the same as everyone else! Not easy! ✨

Love this! 🩷 I’m having issues with my top coat bubbling?? Tried feathering down the top coat, or applying it carefully and using a fine liner to remove the bubbles but still find them when cured 🥺

I’ve been qualified for 4 years now and in that short time, I feel simple things like brands saying you must use their lamp is a huge investment (don’t get me wrong, I get it and I do use the matching lamp, but it was a lot!). Where as before , you could grab a £50 lamp on amazon to start up, not a £150/200 one to match. I also feel like everyone feels like they MUST be able to offer everything straight away. Where as actually giving yourself time to perfect manicures and gel is so important and will make everything else easier down the line.

I qualified in May and its so hard. with social media now, clients have so much choice and will obviously go for the more experience nail tech. I don't even know where to start with advertising and building a client base. I constantly feel like im not good enough

I've been qualified for 6 weeks so I know how it feels to see all these wonderful techs and feel pressured to be as good as them straight away. I did a set yesterday evening that I wasn't happy with and apologised that she got stuck with a newbie. afterwards I thought why did I say that, just because it wasn't my absolute best, it's still much better than when I started my training! I think the influence social media has now makes everything very difficult when you're new. I've spent every single penny on my kit and I still don't have "the right pink" or "enough reds"

I qualified last year but then had to put it on pause for 4 months then I restarted in January and since then I've had to pause 2 more times it's been so hard trying to gain clients I'm now trying to get back on track, but I feel like pausing it has possibly damaged my business abit but I'm determined to do it. I feel so disheartened alot I've had 1 client this week 😫 but my skill isn't we're it should be for someone thst qualified last year I'm still at beginner stage trying to perfect my skill xx
