I didn’t have a bad mom but I didn’t have a good mom either. She was overwhelmed and impatient. I see you and your son and it makes my heart so happy. I see the kind of mother my daughter is and I’m so proud of her. I did better than my mom and now my daughter is doing better than me. homework was not cool, i'd get home and drop the pack, and then it's time to eat and watch cartoons ... id pass or fail just depending on ammount of homework assigned... every evening my mom asked if i did my homework and ofc i would say yes i did, and she didn't pressure me to prove it.. cause it was TV time!!

I had undiagnosed ADHD until I was mid 30s. I was grounded because of my grades for about five years not even joking like from besides the summers from sixth grade until 11th grade. I was grounded the entire school year because of my grades . I didn’t graduate high school and I used to get so much trouble in school. Nobody would help me. It was horrible. They just thought I didn’t wanna do it, but that wasn’t what it was at all.
