We got a same day passport in Chicago last summer for my daughter. Make sure you bring a print out of your flight the next day so that they know how urgent it is!

idk of this is still true but when I used to do passport photos for my job you have to see the ears...

Yes, somebody told us that during COVID - get an emergency passport instead of a renewal through the mail. When the appointments came open, they had lots of them, but none of them were in our state. We had to drive from California to south Texas to get our passport and drive like a banshee back to California.

You’ll be fine if your appointment is early enough. I got mine same day in Philadelphia. My appointment was 9am and received new passport at 3pm. If you order a passport card, that comes via mail a couple weeks later.

We got passports in 3 dif places and all of them said we had to have our hair behind our ears. May want to get a backup photo just in case
