as someone who has done that don't be afraid to stare ppl dead in the eyes and say "I am poor" if they try to get u to do stuff outside of your pice range 💀 real friends will back off quickly or offer to cover for you!!

Boi ofc it's palo alto. But the surrounding areas are much more normal. Stanford mall is pretty, but sj is where the best malls are. Town and country is a nice lil shopping center too.

i have lived near stanford my entire life and i will say that the amount of wealth in palo alto and silicon valley/the bay area in general will definitely be a bit of a culture shock. ppl here are extremely wealthy from the tech industry.

My advice: find friends from the east bay or Sf. Tons of working class people and down to earth people in those areas. Silicon Valley is super ritzy especially near Stanford.
