You should look into getting a NAS (Network Attached storage) you can host your jellyfin from that and store all your files (.iso files work) it can be pricey but it’s worth it so you don’t have to keep your computer on for long periods of time where as a NAS is basically a mini server and built to stay on for long periods of time.

Do you need to keep the ISO files? Could you make the MKV files directly to keep the time/workload down to get them on the computer/server?

so Jellyfin has to stay on your computer? For some reason I thought it was a separate hard drive you can connect to your TV like a Roku 🤦🏾♀️

Great guide for newbies. Jellyfin is pretty awesome. Honestly, I would use Linux over Windows due to the force restarts Windows loves to do.

Can you sort by and add multiple Genre's in JellyFin? or is that auto-populated from the internet?

Genuinely thank you so much. I’m a visual learner so seeing the process laid out was super useful. A from scratch playlist would be amazing but I understand when asking too much is just that, too much. But I can take it from here.

Question: (I’m about halfway through the vid) would storage eventually become an issue if you have too many movies and shows?
