I’m still learning too but anti-inflammatory diet I think is key. Gluten free, dairy free and refined sugar free. Also I’m thinking there may be some connection between gut imbalances and endometriosis.

Endo and Adeno girlie here! I was diagnosed with Endometriosis in my early 20s. I was in pain daily and couldn't get relief. I tried every birth control under the sun (including an IUD which ripped through my uterus). I was constantly told by my Gynecologist to either get pregnant, lose weight, or get a hysterectomy. At 28, I had Ablation surgery which made my pain worse and my gyno said that just happens. I had enough with being gaslit and not taken seriously and finally found answers and support from Dr. Camran Nezhat. In one appointment he officially diagnosed me with severe Endometriosis and Adenomyosis. A few months later I had excision surgery (gold standard). My uterus was completely covered with Adenomyosis and my reproductive organs, bladder, bowels, appendix, diaphram, and nerves on my back and sides was covered in Endo. After surgery he gave me progesterone (natural hormone not BC) to keep it from growing back. I am now a year and a half endo free. 😁 It has made a HUGE difference in my day to day life. I still have monthly pain from the Adenomyosis, but it isn't as bad as it was before surgery. I can't recommend Dr. Camran Nezhat enough. Not only did he make me feel heard, he validated me and improved my health. I'm sorry you are on this journey with us, but us warriors can get through this together. 💪❤

Please, work with a holistic dr. I got pregnant (after surgery and working with infertility dr & holistic dr - they don’t me pregnancy would help, nope, it’s been worth since having my child). I’m one and done… best thing I did was holistic dr, balancing my hormones naturally, healing my gut microbiome, I also found I had H. pylori and parasites as well… the best thing I did was to go gluten-free and dairy free, do a strict diet for 90 days to eliminate and then slowly add in foods to see how your body reacts to it. I have stage three endometriosis and adenomyosis… It’s been hell. I suspected it at the age of 15 and didn’t get fully diagnosed until age 30, and now they want me to do a full hysterectomy… But after doing research, hysterectomy doesn’t always help the symptoms, and mine is grown on my nerves. So I feel like I’m SOL 🫠

I have endometriosis and pcos but my gyno all they want to do is push birth control to help really pushing the arm or iud and my body doesn’t like regular birth control I have to have a low estrogen one but the cramps and I’m sorry tmi but the clots are horrible. All they say for the pain is ibuprofen

My normal doctor wanted to put me on birthcontrol to totally end my cycle. So i went to a specalist, she said the same, so i started. Never felt this terrible in my life. Now i have an appointment to an other doc in two weeks. Wish me luck✨

I have stage 4 endo with frozen pelvis and infertility. my first surgery was by an OB ablation / endometrioma removal and partial oopherectomy at 19. about to have my second surgery with an endo specialist who will be doing EXCISION removing another endometrioma and my appendix. I think what doesn’t get talked about enough is that the specialists who use the proper technique don’t take insurance, as insurance doesn’t see it as a necessary surgery. It’s so difficult for women to get the proper care.

They only think getting pregnant is a "treatment" because you dont have your period for those months so the endo isn't developing more. I've had my first surgery too. praying that it doesn't come back. I would only trust an endo specialist 💯

Most importantly - be an advocate for yourself. For your health. If the doctor refuses to order you a test, press em. Tell them to notate it in your chart that you requested it due to so and so reason and that they denied due to so and so reason. It’s likley they change their mind after that. MRI DOES show endometriosis, there is even a specific protocol for it but even a regular mri with and without contrast will show it if it’s there. Best time to get an mri is during ur period since it highlights the lesions. I just had an mri of the pelvis because I felt its back, and I was right. Currently waiting on another mrj to see if it’s back on my diaphragm as well. It is not only a reproductive system disease. My Endo has grown outside of my reproductive organs such as bladder colon diaphragm. Honestly there is soooo much to learn about this disease, feel free to send me a message if you want to connect. Btw since it’s not just a reproductive system disease pregnancy or hysterectomy is not a cure. A lot of doctors say it is, but those are usually the ones you want to avoid at all cost.
