Unpopular opinion: don’t care about being the bad guy when it comes to protecting your child, ESPECIALLY if the child asks you as their parent to protect them. In which, these kids did. They felt comfortable enough to tell you how they felt once things started changing because they felt safe and felt like something would be done, now they’re seeing other people disrespecting their boundaries and not caring how they feel and what they think, they will go in a shell (which is kinda what happened, they felt like their voices didn’t matter which is why they didn’t say anything about SM coming at GPs house) the biggest thing for you as a parent to do now is to completely remove all contact with anyone that doesn’t respect their wishes, let them know you absolutely love them and care about their happiness.
