The event, scheduled for Saturday, 16th August 2025, will take place at the Eusbett Cinema. This marked Lilwin’s first time on the STU campus. He was warmly received at the Council Chamber by the Vice-Chancellor, Ing. Prof. Kwadwo Adinkrah-Appiah, the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Justice Solomon Korantwi-Barimah, the Director of Finance, Mr. Thomas Kwarfo, and other key management members. Lilwin shared the inspiration behind his latest movie, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, a true-life story from Burkina Faso. He explained that the film seeks to highlight Africa’s richness, diversity, and the importance of Africans telling their own stories—much like his previous work A Country Called Ghana, currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The Vice-Chancellor commended Lilwin for his contributions to national development through filmmaking, adding that his movies often bring joy and inspiration. He emphasized the need for the country to support leaders and creatives with a genuine passion for Ghana’s progress. He assured Lilwin that he, together with the entire university management, will attend the premiere to show their support. #STUProud #Lilwin #CaptainIbrahimTraore #MoviePremiere #STUEvents
