It may be because I’m in my 30s, but I haven’t used snap like that in 5+ years. I’m on there solely for my cousins who are happily married with kids. It’s just a quick simple way for us to connect. Even though we could literally WALK to each other’s houses. I think there are just some things in life that are used certain ways in specific phases through life. I grew up in a Pentecostal church, so I’m coming from the same place having a strict upbringing.

I really only use Snapchat for close friends and family now. I did go through a purge period where I removed people I no longer align with so I think if you’re intentional with the way you use the app and stay disciplined it can still be used for good

This is a WORD!! I had the same conviction about snap and it was very hard to let it go… Oh how He has showed me the joy and purpose in the obedience!! We’ve just got to check our heart posture behind our motives. Are we self seeking and or people pleasing? If so, this isnt glorifying God. Keep going girl, this was beautifully said!

I’ve deleted and redownloaded taking break definitely helped I’ve found that It helps to not have guys on there if there’s girl friends it’s fine otherwise notifications off and deleting it if I find myself checking it too much

I was on a vacation last year in the Dominican Republic and I was having this same struggle. After going back and forth about it with God for days all of a sudden I was on that app texting one of my friends and my account got banned! It was like God told me you will be ok without this
