The bird in the sky's expanse – who holds it and sustains it? Who feeds and raises it in its nest? The oppressor – who grants him respite? (Who allows him time?) The tyrant – who will break him? The sinner – who conceals him? (Who covers his faults?) The hypocrite – who will expose him? The lost – who guides him? The perplexed – who directs him? The distressed – who succors him? (who answers his call for help?) The hungry – who feeds him? The thirsty – who gives him drink? The naked – who clothes him? The afflicted – who answers him? (who responds to his plea?) The desperate – who relieves him? (who brings him aid?) You, you, son of dust (O child of Adam), who created you? Who fashioned your hearing and your sight? Who shaped you and made you upright?
