you're not alone! my husband and me met when he was on a working holiday visa in new Zealand from England. we fell in love instantly, visited his family in the UK 10 months later when his visa in nz ran out and moved to Australia (perth). we weren't sure what the future held for us in terms of where we could live etc but we've been in WA for 9 years in January, 2 kids (6 and 3) and have been married for 2 years in feb!! the distance from family is truly hard, but the sacrifices we've made have given us a beautiful life and allowed us some freedom (time and $) to travel to see both our families. I also 10000% understand what you mean about the wedding logistics, hence why it took us so long to tie the knot. we ended up having an incredible micro wedding here in Perth with our absolute nearest and dearest ❤️best of luck to you both!!
