Im seeing alot of ford "Wet Belts" on tik tok and problems with them , shouldnt Ford recall or fix this for free ? seeing that theres a lot ?

new (bare) engine from Ford €3500. friends belt snapped 4 weeks after being serviced in Ford Main Dealer with only 127,000km. No recommendations to change the belt but they didnt cover it under warranty because it was overdue a service due to Ford Main Dealer being booked up and not able to fit him in. Terrible service from Ford Ireland. Bought from them, serviced regularly by them. Hes got rid of it now.

I have a 2021 transit 2lt with wet belt what sort milage should I be looking at getting the belt done it's gets it's oil change every 10000km and has 96000km on clock at the minit

I do feel for the owner here. it's a hard pill to swallow but a service is also performing preventive maintenance.
