I think other than the whole "order them how you want" thing, these songs all seem to be from different periods in her life and have varying themes, so it's a collection rather than a cohesive album with a theme.

It encourages active streaming- you HAVE to create a playlist with the tracks in your own library (that you’ll likely stream again) instead of streaming the album (and possibly forgetting about it after). Honestly genius

Hayley’s last two albums were also released in abnormal ways. Petals for Armor was released as three EPs and then bundled together as one album. But if you bought the box set vinyl, it was three ten inch EPs. She does wtf she wants and we love and support her, because she’s always ahead of the curve!
