the soak off doesn’t make your nails weak or brittle? i feel like that is what has destroyed my nails from doing gel manicures😩

I've seen people leave a thin layer of the gel & not soak it completely off! Why do you soak it completely off? I feel like it makes sense to soak it all off so they don't get gross. I'm researching to start to do my own!!
