@jalipinoadventures: Another challenge unlocked: getting an ETC card in Japan! 🛣️💳 The struggle is real for foreigners trying to get acclimated—so many things just aren’t intuitive. Step 1: getting a credit card is tough without a long residency history (we recommend the PayPay card). Step 2: you need that credit card to get an ETC card—Japan’s version of Fastrak. Without it, you’ll be stuck paying at each toll gate… and not all of them take cash/card! 😩 If that happens, you’ll have to exit at the next exit (ask us how we know).
