@misscherrydelight: For 23 years, I have been *deeply* passionate about Elizabeth Short aka “The Black Dahlia”. I flew from NYC to Oakland to visit her grave on her 101st birthday. This was my first time in California. It was a special trip where I got to be with my amazing childhood friend, Lily. She happens to live close to Mountain View cemetery, where Elizabeth is buried. We were the only ones to visit her on her birthday. I believe her spirit received a gigantic wave of love from us. We hope others will remember her not as a gruesome tortured object of an unsolved 77 year old murder, but a special young woman who dreamt of being on the silver screen, and longed to be loved by all. Her story breaks my heart. In the end, she gave up her mortal soul to become immortal. She will never be forgotten.
