Is it weird to have a film on top of my starter? I’m on day 9 and there’s usually a dry film on top and more runny under it. It’s bubbly and almost doubling so I think it’s going well but I’ve never seen anyone have film on it - do you know?

I got eve but I have a question: it says to feed 1:1:1 daily but what if I fed 1:10:10 bc I need more flexibly. Is that ok? What if I used her in the morning and I needed more, can I feed her again before the 24 hours? TIA

My scratch starter finally took off once I quit following directions and did my own thing with it. Quit measuring, quit discarding. She is amazing now.🤷🏼♀️
