Take the vent off. Take it outside and wash it off with water hose then air dry.

The 1st of each month, I take that door off, and spray with cleaner. Then I change the filter. Then I hose off the door and let it air dry for a few before putting it on.

If hers is like ours it’s attached to the ceiling and doesn’t come off. You can only unhook it to partially bring part down to replace the AC filter. So hard to thoroughly clean.

I see you change your filters. Have you considered getting your ducts cleaned and having an HVAC company look at your system? I could leave my filters unchanged for two years, and they wouldn’t look this bad. Seems something else is going on here 😳
