cats hiss as a defensive measure, it'll just take some time! I think it's hard too because dogs love eye contact while cats think eye contact is aggressive. they're doing great, and you both are doing great! keep it up! 🥰

Baby gate between two rooms, and then put their food so they eat close by each other.. a trick I’ve seen many use too

if you can, do a meeting through a sturdy, screen door. that way they can see and smell, but can't actually attack each other if anything goes wrong. it also gives them each a chance to leave the situation on their own. take it slow. don't rush it.

One thing I remember for introductions is when you feed them, feed them on opposite sides of a door so they associate each others scents with something good.

Maybe you could install a gate on the door, one where they can see each other but are safe from one another for now. Try to give them Food and Treats Next to each other but in Safe places. You can do it ☺️❤️Hope it works out

My cat would hiss and my dog for weeks. Kept the kitty separated and did short interactions a couple times a day and after a couple days of doing that, they became besties ❤️
