My cousin went to court and actually WON visitation to her granddaughter. Every other weekend. Grandparents rights DO exist in certain states.

Future MIL ignored boundaries around revealing the gender and visitation. She know wonders why she only sees my daughter once a month, isn’t allowed to help more and I don’t talk to her directly. Maybe because I don’t trust you and you’ve done nothing to regain it.

My MIL is slowly losing access to our daughter every time she visits. For ever boundary crossed I lay another brick in the wall. I hate it so much, but I won’t teach my daughter that just because someone is related to you that you have to allow them to treat you poorly.

I met someone once whose parents took them to court over "grandparent rights" because they didn't get to see their grandkids as much as they'd like. once everything started the judge just goes "why are we here??" and dismissed the case lol
