I love who I love. I enjoy the things that I enjoy. What you see is what you get.” • I crossed paths with Milan while photographing NYC Pride back in June. Though you can’t see it in my black and white photos, their bright pink attire caught my attention from afar, notably their bright pink cowboy hat. • I spoke briefly with them, asking them what Pride meant to them and what they hoped others could better understand about the queer community. • Our conversation was brief, but I’m thankful they were open to sharing their experience and perspective with me.
