@forgedbyfilament: 3d scanning my head to 3d print a helmet for my 3d printed head? Kinda. I have a weirdly large head so to make sure my helmet fits I 3d scanned myself to prevent the waist! Polycam was hard to use but totally worth it in the end! . . . #3dprintingforbeginners #3dprinting #3dprintingtips #3dprintedprop #cosplayprop #3dprinter #3dprintedcosplay #cosplayprop #3dscanner
if your trying to print out mask for cosplays and things I'd recommend printing the cosplay calipers on on printable by uncle Jessy has saved me so much time

Does the scanner accurately capture measurements or did you need to scale your head?

I heard some people use disposable cap for your head. It makes perfect sense because when you put your cap and make those photos, you have a better 3d scan then showing your hair. With the disposable cap it helps the hair stay in place and take your head form. I personally think its a game changer for 3d head scans.🤌
