I think the biggest thing that caused so much hate for wind and truth was two things. first everyone speculating and theorizing things that were epic but not feasible for one book. second was that people were expecting a big pay off and resolution cause its the end of the first half of stormlight. where in reality it is the middle book in a 10 book series, so we as readers dont get the satisfying resolution we expected from the end of a series because its continuing.

I loved wind and truth! I dont understand the hate! I was cheering and crying during this sanderlanche. the ending broke me in so many different pieces.

I don’t think people went in understanding that Wind and Truth is the end of the first arc. Of course there’s more questions than answers.

All 5 books are 4.9 out of 5 stars and the cosmere itself or what’s out so far is a solid 4.9 stars. My only complaint in Stormlight is the repeating over explaining he does,

if im being honest i thought words of radience was the weakest out of the 5 books. ALL FIVE BOOKS WERE PHENOMENAL, but words of radiance was the only book where the length didn't feel warranted to me

WaT is better than the critics say it is, but it is also easily the worst book of Stormlight Archive. I personally prefer Oathbringer over WoR but I love Dalinar so that is expected.

My take is that Wind and Truth is overheated but properly critiqued. I feel like this book has become The epitome of I didn't like this. so therefore it's horrible and I hate it and online discussion. there are valid points to make about how some people were put off by structure and more modern words, but it is definitely not the worst storm like book, although, what is is a hard question to answer
