She’s absolutely correct; I checked& replaced all damaged screens on my ranch for decades! Tip: SAVE LEFTOVER PIECES OF SCREEN, you can use them to repair or patch small holes instead of replacing whole screens!

Why is no one clamping the screen on before you start the spline? AND REPLACE THE SPLINE. ITS OLD AND CRACKED. THE WEATHER/THE SUN/THE COLD cracks it. I used to do this for a living.
