BAEEEE there is so much more to vanilla than cupcakey-sweet scents. a very basic & cheap fresh/flowery vanilla is the Frenshe linen spray but when vanilla is paired with other things such as fruits or flower notes it can be AMAZING for summer still & doesn’t come off as sickly sweet 🤭🤭🤭 (sorry im just a die hard vanilla girly who’s obsessed with fragrantica)

Real, people rave about the eos vanilla cashmere lotion too and it just smells like vanilla yogurt to me 😭 I’m not a fan of scents like that

i’m pretty sure vanilla smells differently on different people based on their ph levels don’t take my word for it but maybe it doesn’t mix great with your ph levels

vanilla is a safe go for any occasion, it’s simple and easy to like, hard for it to offend a crowd, and it generally brings the most compliments so i see why people are into it. i was a vanilla girl before i put effort into knowing what i like and now i rly am not drawn to vanilla. i still keep some for my bf bc ofc he only compliments vanillas on me lmao

the dry down on sunfruit by ellis brooklyn is absolutely beautiful. i'm not usually a floral girly but it's just so creamy and fresh 😭 not at all bakery sweet. unfortunately every other perfume with vanilla planifolia seems to be majorly expensive (looking at you, chloe 😒)

I do like smelling like baked goods. But I also layer it with sweet pineapple lotion kinda smells like an upside down cake. My favorite smell is the Chelsea morning. It’s just got these notes that make my mouth water.
