Grant Morrison also very obviously didn’t read Son of the Demon, where Bruce and Talia were very much in love and officially became husband and wife. They just heard about Batman having a kid out there and decided to retcon everything to suit their purposes. Talia gives up Damian to an orphanage or foster family at the end of the book for goodness sake

plus her love for Damian, Jason and Bruce is so genuine, like there's a comic that shows that's Jason met her even before meeting Bruce and she was genuinely nice to him, and when he died, she felt so bad for him and didn't want him to be alone knowing how much Bruce cared about Jason

lol she literally made a clone of her son to murder Damian after she got upset he didnt want to join her organization. she basically forced her son to a weapon from birth as a tool to get closer to Bruce then as an actual weapon once he rejected her. sure she might care about him but she pushed him away herself. she is a great character with her own agency and her own regrets and faults. its okay she isnt perfect. perfect characters are boring
