The coolfm accent is brutal and no one actually speaks like that. Keep your accents exactly how they are cause that’s what keeps us here; knowing yous are just like us 🤷🏻♀️

I got this when I lived in jersey the person I worked for asked me to be less Derry so of course I was more Derry all day and then left

I have staff who still say they don’t know what I’m saying and make jokes about it but I teach about 120 different children a day and not one of them has ever had a problem understanding me. It’s ignorance.

i’ve had to slow down my speak for my job! from NI originally, live in scotland (so there’s a blend) talk very fast! work with a lot of english companies and have to slow right down

I’ve moved to England and I’ve had to talk slowly and pronounce better, I now talk like this 🙁 I went home and my friends said I sound English, cried coming back to England

omg !! I had to leave my placement in England because my mentor complained that my accent was too hard to understand it’s so beyond disgusting the way we can be treated purely bc we don’t have an English accent it’s ridiculous

I'm scottish near Glasgow and the I do now I talk to lots of English French etc and they always say they don't understand because I won't change how I talk!
