Write “M” on your master copies in yellow highlighter and when you photocopy them, it doesn’t show! 2️⃣ Writing Supports Having a writers tool kit for students who need support on day one means you can TEACH them how to find unknown words, synonyms (WOW WORDS) or edit their own writing! 💡Use these during modelled writing so students can SEE how they should be used — and watch them use them independently! 3️⃣ Printable Games (and Blooms task cards) I teach students from day one what to do when they FINISH their work! This sets up a solid fast finisher routine to keep students on task, engaged and consolidating learning even when they have finished their core task! 💡Explicitly teach, model and reinforce where to put finished work, how to collect materials needed for their FF task, how to lay out their work and how to return their resources once finished! 🫡 4️⃣ Booklets (🙌🏼😍) Nothing screams time saving like booklets that you just print, fold and staple for a WHOLE term worth of work! ✅ Spelling Tests ✅ Maths Fact Fluency (➕➖✖️➗) ✅ Scaffolded Silent Reading Response ✅ Vocabulary (Word of the Day) ✅ Reading Fluency TIME 👏🏼 SAVING 👏🏼 ORGANISATION! 5️⃣ Guided Reading Binder Once you have a system that works, teaching the routines and expectations of literacy groups from the outset will help to develop an efficient, seamless and productive session!
