Here’s one for you…it happened 4, maybe 5 times to me over the course of about 72 hours. I suffer seizures. I’d had a particularly bad episode and was taken to ICU. The docs were trying to get the meds right as my seizures were lasting about 25-30 minutes each. Eventually I was moved on to a high dependency ward, but had to have a nurse sat with me at all times, the seizures were still frequent but were only lasting maybe 5-10 minutes. On the 4/5 occasions I mentioned, I had come out of seizures but not fully, I hold NO religious views whatsoever btw, and I saw silhouettes of people at the end of the bed, I could tell from their outlines, they were from all different time periods. None of them spoke, but I noticed 2 people who were dressed in what I now know to be 1920’s clothing. I saw the top hat of the man, and the headband with something sticking out of it of the woman, she was much shorter. I put it down to hallucinations twice, but the this time as my seizures were still severe but becoming less than a minute, I knew that these weren’t hallucinations, each time, all these silhouettes were stood in the same place and the man and woman were always talking. I told one of the nurses who I got on well with. She asked about my religious beliefs, she said was I dreaming. She then says “I’ve been a nurse for nearly 33 years, and yours isn’t the strangest I’ve heard, and I do know that there is a ghost trapped in the payslip room!” It doesn’t haunt me, it didn’t scare me, but I’ll never forget it.
