It's so sad because every person he could consider family is either dead, abandons him, or uses him and his journey to further their own sociopolitical goals. The game seems to try to set up the Lyons Pride as a sort of found family situation, but it's so shallow that I hesitate to consider it that over just a military unit you happen to get added to. At least he has his dog 😭 (replace the male pronouns with female ones if you play the Lone Wanderer as a woman)

This just makes the DLC “Broken Steel” so much worse. In the base game, after the LW dies, I like to think that he/she reunites with James and Katherine. But with the DLC, it doesn’t happen until they die of old age
