Stop consuming sugar! I had a severe itchy scalp for months! Washing my hair to relieve the itch was only temporary but it came back immediately. I went to the dermatologist and they prescribed me steroid oils/liquid. It didn’t help until I stoped consuming a large amount of sugar and carbs. My sugar levels were high. It’s diabetic neuropathy.

Clove oil. Make sure to dilute it though. I put some on a section of my scalp (undiluted) an hour ago and wasn't aware how strong it is. But im no longer itching after having severe itchy scalp for the past week.

peri-menopausal symptom drives me nuts too. It itch like crazy no flakes mot oily just itchy scalp. Tons of shampoos conditioners nizorals etc nothing works.
